Who is CCCS?
For more than a half-century, Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) has been considered the "gold standard" in the field of credit counseling and personal money management. Our Certified Credit Counselors work with the individual to set and meet financial goals - whether that means saving for a home, planning for retirement, or paying off debt. Our services are confidential, and our counselors are available in person, over the telephone, or via the internet.
CCCS is a member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC). Our money management programs are accredited through the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services. CCCS is funded by voluntary contributions from creditors, client donations, grants, and other community-based resources. Debt Management Program
| CCCS can help you become debt-free with our Debt Management Program (DMP). Our Certified Credit Counselors will help you negotiate with creditors to reduce or eliminate interest charges and create a voluntary repayment plan that gets you completely out of debt. This program is funded primarily by fair share contributions from creditors who participate in the DMP, and your creditors will always receive 100% of the amount you pay to them. Money Management Education
| Because 90% of all Americans have never been taught personal finance, CCCS believes that learning how to manage money wisely is as important as learning how to read. We offer individual and group education to our clients and the communities we serve. We have a self-study program "Credit When Credit Is Due (CWCID) for individuals who prefer to learn at their own pace at home. We also schedule workshops and seminars for businesses, churches, associations, and other community groups. Our group presentations include: Basic Budgeting; Credit Characteristics; Credit Reporting; Credit Scoring; Credit Card Debt; Building Wealth; Financial Fitness For Life; and Identity Theft. Presentations are scheduled from 1 to 4 hours depending on the number of topics you want to cover. | Credit Report Review is a service offered by Consumer Credit Counseling Service. Certified counselors can help you understand your credit report, show you how to correct any errors and how to re-establish a good credit history if needed.
